この作品は、一般的なギターが持つ六本ある弦をそれぞれ太陽系の惑星である、水星、金星、地球、火星、木星、土星と名付ける事から始めて作曲されている、アルゴリズミックコンポジションである。
一つ一つの音はコンピュータ上でシミュレートされた太陽系の惑星の公転の動きをもとに構成されている。
ここでシミュレートされている太陽系を構成する種々のデータ（惑星の公転周期や軌道の距離など）は現実のデータに忠実ではなく、自由な創作に基いたデータである。
「小さなショーロ」（Shorinho）と命名したのは、僕の第二の故郷でもあるリオ・デ・ジャネイロで生まれた作曲家の作品に思いを馳せていたせいでもあり、出来上がった作品がショーロの様な響きや構成を持っているように直感的に感じられたからだ。
「太陽系の小さなショーロ」で表現されている太陽系の惑星は全て正円の型をした軌道をもつ。
惑星軌道はそれぞれギターが持つ6本の弦に見立てられており、12のフレットに分けられている。
音が発生する瞬間は、惑星同士が同じ角度上に重なった場合でありその角度に対応するフレットの音が鳴らされる、この動作はコンピュータ上でシミュレートされており、自作のコンピュータプログラミングにより自動的に楽譜に起こされた。アーティキュレーションなどは、自動的に起こされた楽譜から想像した創作である。
この作品は音選びのシステムから必然的に和音は同一フレット上の音で構成されている2つ以上の音またはその異なるフレット上での組み合わせである。
This is an algorithmic composition. To start with, each string of an ordinary guitar is given a name, "Mercury", "Venus", "the Earth", "Mars", "Jupiter", and "Saturn" in the solar system. The structure of each sound is based on the computer-simulated movement of an orbital period of planets in the solar system. The data of the simulation (an orbital period, a distance of orbit...) is not exact. They are from creative thinking.
The name "Little choros" is taken from a composer born in my second home "Rio de Janeiro" I felt the music created had the melody and structure similar to composition of Brazilian music "choros".
All planets of the solar system in "Little Choros in the Solar System" have a circular orbit. They become 6 strings of a guitar and divided into 12 frets. When some planets overlap in a radial line, notes are played on the fret which value is the same one of the angle of that line. This is simulated in the computer. The score was automatically written by my computer program. The articulation was created from that score. A chord will be made of 2 or more notes on the same fret or another. Each note as a chord should be played on the same fret. A numeral added to a note shows a fret. If you find over 2 numerals, you press both frets.
